One morning you awaken to find that your body is covered in very itchy rashes and you have no idea how you got them. This is sad news. The moment that you were not on guard, the enemy attacked you. The rashes and weals are signs that a bed bug had sneaked up on you for a snack. Right now, the bed bug, long-living pest that it is, has taken up residence in nooks close to the area where you sleep; when it detects that you are sleeping, it crawls out of hiding and dines on your blood.
In order to eliminate them you have to first identify the common hiding places of these bugs. This would help you come up with an effective way of eliminating them and take precautions against their re-entry. The task can be carried out by yourself or with the help of expert pest control services.
To start your bed bug elimination exercise, you have to vacuum clean and even steam clean your house thoroughly, particularly your beddings and other foamed furniture. It is also critical to thoroughly wash and rinse all your bed spreads in a washing machine exposing them to the highest possible temperature, as whatever remaining bed bugs are there, they will not be able to survive under extreme heat. Cleaning the floors and other solid surfaces with a hard brush and a cleaning liquid helps in removing traces of bed bug eggs laid here and there.
Once you are done with the cleaning, take some extra preventive measures like discarding the vacuum cleaner bag in the outdoor trash can, in a tightly sealed plastic bag to remove the beg bugs forever. Having done that, plug all holes, fissures and openings around pipes, mopboards and other points of entry into your home.
It is recommended that you use natural and safe pest control measures in the bed bugs extermination process and avoid dangerous pesticides or chemical repellents, which can cause health hazards if they come in contact with your items of daily use. Regular tidying up routines and practices of cleanliness around your residence can greatly play a huge part in preventing bed bug invasions.
